Step 7: Return to the queue of print job. This will remove all the print jobs from the queue and then you will be able to continue with the normal printing process.

Option 2: Make a Bat File

In case you don’t want to go through a long process, then you can apply a permanent solution to resolve your issue. Now, make a batch file with your name and open the batch when you wish to clear the queue.

Step 1: The first thing that you need to do is to open Notepad++ or Notepad.

Step 2: The lines that you need to enter are

  1. net stop spooler
  2. del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers* /Q /F /S
  3. net start spooler

Step 3: Then, select Files and then Save As

  • Select All files as file type.
  • Rename the file and then put a suffix of .bat.
  • Please ensure that ANSI has been selected as Encoding type.
  • Now, save your file.

Step 4: After that, select the batch file by double clicking on it.

Option 3: Use Command Prompt

The quickest method of clearing the print queue is by opening up command prompt. You can get your work done with just a few clicks.

Step 1: The first thing that you need to do is to type cmd in the command prompt and then run as Administrator.

Step 2: Launch command prompt Window and then enter the necessary commands, which are:

  • net stop spooler
  • del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers* /Q /F /S
  • net start spooler

Step 3: This will fix your problem of print job stuck in queue.

Solution 2: Reinstall the Driver of Your Printer

Print job stuck in queue can also arise because of outdated or corrupt printer drivers. Therefore, you must update the driver of your printer to fix the problem that you are going through. You can either update your driver automatically or manually.
