Hello, Please let me know that how do i get my canon printer to print double sided. I am facing some issue in printing of double side in Canon printer. Help me.
Double-sided printing is called duplex printing. That duplex printing is of two types the first one is automatic and second one is manual duplex printing. Here are a few steps on how you can print double-sided on your Canon printer. First, you have to open the printer driver setup, then choose the automatic duplex printing option.
From the page layout list, you have to choose a particular layout; now, choose the print area for the double-sided printing; now comes the step where the Printer will analyze the page layout and choose the side, choose the width of the margin, then select the "ok" option. Now, your Canon printer is ready to print double-sided printouts.

Mentioned below are the steps that one needs to perform to do automatic duplex printing.
Step 1: First of all, open the printer driver setup window.
Step 2: After that, select automatic duplex printing. Go to the Page Setup tab and check the box for duplex printing. Please check that the box for automatic duplex printing is checked.
Step 3: Choose the layout by going to the Page Layout list. Select scaled, fit to page, and normal size from the list.
Step 4: After that, the next thing that you need to do is to select the print area for duplex printing. Whenever you print on both sides of the page, then the print area of the gets smaller than usual and the content does not fit on a single page. Select the Print Area Setup and then either choose to use reduced printing or use normal size printing and then select Ok.
Step 5: Your Canon printer machine will analyze Page Layout and Orientation settings and then it automatically chooses the side, which is best for Staple.
Step 6: In the next step, select the width of the margin. First, specify the margin and then set the width of the margin and then hit OK.
Step 7: Now, on the Page Setup tab, click on OK. Once you give the print command, Canon printer double-sided printing will start.
Mentioned below are the steps that one needs to carry out for manual Canon duplex printing.
Step 1: Launch the printer driver setup window.
Step 2: Tick the box of Duplex printing and then uncheck the checkbox of Automatic Duplex printing by going to the Page Setup tab.
Step 3: Choose the layout by selecting the Page Layout from the Page Layout list.
Step 4: The Canon printer machine will analyze the Page Layout and Orientation settings and then it will select the best side for staple. If you wish to alter the setting, then select the other value appearing on the list.
Step 5: After that, specify the margin and then set the margin width.
Step 6: Now, complete the setup by clicking on the Page Setup tab. When you give the print command, the document will first get printed on one side of the page. Once the printing is done on one side, then load the sheets again in a proper manner and this time the blank side should face downwards. Select ok for printing the other side.
When you print both sides of the paper, it has a greyed-out appearance and appears unavailable at the point when:
If the booklet gets selected from the Page Layout list. Duplex printing and the Staple side appear to be greyed out. Duplex printing can only be performed on particular paper sizes from the page setup tab.
Once you are done printing one side of the page, there is an ink-drying wait time for printing the other side of the page. It is recommended not to touch the page during the drying time. You can modify the ink drying time duration by going to custom settings under the maintenance tab.
