Print Mirror Images in Word:

It is not easy to mirror an image a text as it is to enter a normal text. No new feature has been introduced that allows a user to flip the text entered. However, there are methods that you can apply to get the job done. Below we have listed the methods that you can apply to print mirror images in MS Word.

1) Use the Rotation Option in Printer Properties

Before you go ahead and rotate the text in MS Word, you should check your printer's properties. Go to the File tab and then select the Print option. If you are using MS Word 2003, then select the print option from the File menu. After that, select the link of Printer Properties.

Search for the rotation or mirror image option. If you don't see the rotation option there, then search for the same in advanced options. Select the option of mirror image. There is no guarantee that you will find the rotation option but you must go for this method before you apply a more complicated solution.

2) Use the Text Box

You cannot flip the text directly using Word. However, this can be done using a text box. For this, you need to go to the insert tab from the Text group and then insert a text box. Type the text that you wish to flip and then format it as per your requirement.

Now, flip the text by performing the steps mentioned below.

  • Go to the text box and then right-click on it, After that, select Format Shape.
  • Now, go to the left pane and then select 3-D rotation.
  • Now, change the X setting to 180.
  • After that, click on Ok and then the MS Word will rotate the text in the text box. This will create a mirror image.

3) Use Paint

If you don't know how to flip text horizontally in an MS Word document, then use Paint. Below are the steps that you need to follow to flip text using Paint.

  • Copy the text you want the mirror image of in Paint.
  • Now, select the Text.
  • After that, go to the Image menu and then select the option of Flip or Rotate.
  • Then, choose the option of Flip Horizontal.
  • Click on Ok and then copy the rotated text in MS Word.

This method is a little difficult and you need a lot of patience while you use this method. It is difficult to get the exact size and position in Paint, so you can fit it in your MS Word document. You can get it done after putting in some effort. Therefore, the process is a bit time-consuming.

You can flip an object in MS Word but it is not possible to get a horizontal mirror image using an MS Word document. To insert a WordArt object, you need to go to the Insert Menu and then select Picture.

After that, select WordArt. Once you enter the text, go to the Format menu and then select the Size tab. Now, go to rotation control and then enter 180. Once done, click on OK.
