Question

How to Scan Paper from MP480 Canon Printer Scanner to Laptop?

First time, I am trying to scan documents by connecting my MP480 Canon printer to the laptop. When I plugged the cord in, it says “It is downloading”. Once the process completes, when I press the Scan button, it says it is preparing and nothing happens on the platen screen. Guide me how to scan the paper to my laptop!

Scan Documents Using Canon Printer -

Follow the set of instructions mentioned below for Canon mp480 scanner not working issue:

Step 1: Turn on your Canon all-in-one printer along with your laptop and connect the printer to the laptop using the provided USB cable. Make sure the cables are right in their place. Wait for a few seconds to let the connection between the two get established.

Step 2: Now lift the cover of your Canon all-in-one printer to get access to the scanner, place the picture, or the paper you want to scan facing downside towards the scanner. Make sure it's properly aligned as per the arrow marks present on the boundary.

Step 3: Click on the Start button on your laptop and then select the "Windows Fax and Scan" option from the All program tab.

Step 4: Now in the Windows Fax and Scan tab, select 'Scan' > 'New Scan'.

Step 5: Click on the profile of your scanner and select the 'Photo' option from the drop-down menu. From here you can also adjust the scan settings like color, file type, resolution, etc.

Step 6: Click on the Preview button to see how it would look and once you are satisfied with the options click Scan.

These are the steps to scanning documents from Canon printer to laptop. In case you have any other difficulty, feel free to reply and I will be glad to help you out.
