Troubleshoot Printer Not Responding Error on Mac:

One of the most common errors that Mac users experience is printer not responding to issues. Here, you are going to learn how to overcome that problem. Mentioned below are the steps that you need to carry out in order to fix the printer not responding to errors on Mac OS.

If Your Printer Device is Connected to the Wireless Network-

Step 1 : First of all, power off your printer device and then wait for 30 seconds and then power it back on.

Step 2 : In case the issue is still persisting and troubling you, then instead of rebooting your compatible printer, carry out the steps given below on your Operating System.

Step 3 : Go to the drop-down menu of Apple and then select System Preferences.

Step 4 : Go to the Hardware section and then select the option of Print and Fax.

Step 5 : Select the sign of Plus and then highlight your printer.

Step 6 : After that, select the option of Add.

In case you don’t find your printer device in the list appearing before you, then check if it is connected to the wireless network or dropping connection. In order to verify that, take a look at the user manual that came along with your printer device.

If You are Using a USB Wire for Connecting a Printer to the Computer System-

In case you are using a USB wire for connecting your Mac computer and printer device and make sure it is properly connected to one of the ports. Moreover, you need to ensure that you are using 2.0 USB cable for this purpose. Also, the distance from your printer to the computer is less than 6 feet.

If the error does not go away even after doing this, then below mentioned are some of the steps that you can carry out.

Step 1 : Please make sure that your wire is properly connected to a USB port.

Step 2 : After that, go to the drop down menu of Apple and then select System Preferences.

Step 3 : Then. go to the Hardware section like before and then select the option of Print.

Step 4 : Connect the other end of the wire to the computer system.

Step 5 : After your Mac computer diagnoses the printer, it will show up in the list of printer devices. Or else, connect the wire to the USB port on your PC.

In case you are still not able to print a document by using a USB wire to connect your Mac OS to the printer device, then it may be because of a third party printer driver conflict.

So, in order to fix this problem, all you have to do is to go to the Apple Menu and then go to System Preferences and search for a third party software to uninstall.

If you are still encountering printer connectivity problems on your operating system, then get in touch with the customer service executives.
