Fix Printer Printing Lines:

Are you wondering why your printer is printing lines? This issue can be quite problematic when your printer starts printing lines. Printer printing lines on the page can be quite problematic and it happens because of a damaged, dirty, or blocked printhead.

Blocked nozzles of the cartridge and non-removal of protective seals correctly when you install a new cartridge can also lead to missing lines of print. If you wish to fix this problem, then you have come to the right place.

Here, you will get to know everything that you need to know to fix the problem of inkjet printer printing lines.

An inkjet printer printing lines or missing lines can appear if the carriage which contains the printhead becomes damaged or dirty. With time, the ink dries up and builds up on the nozzles. When it comes out, the cartridge moves across the page and the ink transfers to the paper. This can cause blurry prints or the wrong color to come out.

In case you installed a new cartridge recently, then you must check whether the protective seals have been removed properly or not.

  • Now, run the cartridge alignment option to resolve alignment issues.
  • In case there is no LCD screen n your printer, then go to Control Panel on your PC, select Devices&Printers and then finally right-click on your printer from the list. Then. choose "Printing Properties". After that, you will find the option to clean from here.

Step 2: Clean the Nozzles or Cartridge

Below are the easy steps that you need to follow to clean the cartridge nozzles.

  • Print a test page to know which color is blocked.
  • Open the door of your printer and then remove blocked cartridges.
  • After that, take a wet paper towel and then gently wipe any ink from the nozzles at the end or back of the cartridge.
  • Keep your cartridge on top of your wet paper towel. Make sure that your print head or nozzle is touching the wet part until the ink flows out.
  • Install the ink cartridges again.

Step 3: Clean Your Ink Cartridge or Printhead

Dirt building up on your cartridge holder where the printhead is located can also cause the problem of printer printing blank pages.

Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to clean the printhead.

  • Take out the cartridges from the carriage holder where your printhead is located.
  • Take a wet cotton swab and use it to wipe the underside of your ink holder. Keep on cleaning until you find that this area is completely clean.
  • Re-install the inks and then try one more time.
  • In case the steps mentioned above don't fix your problem, then you should replace the ink cartridges as you may find that they are running out of ink. This problem can also occur if the ink is dried up or damaged.

If your laser printer is missing or skipping lines, then that may happen because you didn't remove the seals properly.  This error can also appear if there is damage in the fuser or drum unit.
